Auto Crit-

Here is an interesting little tool-check out:
www.autocrit.com/processtext.cfm

It's a quick critique of 2000 words for minor grammatical errors (etc!)

It's not perfect, but for an overall analysis, why not?

That's kind of cool. I just wonder if they capture what people put in there? ;)

Ugh! Methinks I overuse the word "just."

Jill:

It found "Butt Monkey" too many times in my test. And by the way, "Tomato Sex" came in second.

LOL

Jill:

I was perusing in your archives, and I think I figured out the Tomato sex thing. (Maybe you did as well) You had one post that talked about tomatoes, then there was one about writing that had the word sex in it. Search engines are crazy things. Some 4H student trying to figure out how tomatoes have children typed in Tomato sex and voila he is learning how to write from Jill.

Oh... the Butt monkey thing:

"Red and raw" a tale of an African Butt Monkey.

LOL

Red and raw?? LOL

Yeah, my comment with "sex" in it had something to do with "do I have to write a sex-laden beach read in order to become a bestseller" or some such rot. That, plus my post on tomato sandwiches, and...voila! Tomato sex.

I recently got a hit on "Spencer coming out of the closet." :o|

And the other day: "Is Jillian Grace married"

I then discovered that Ms. Grace is a Playboy bunny.

Ya, this is interesting stuff!

See what one link will do ;)

I submitted this to the writing group I belong to and they weren't very open to it. It should be used as a guide and not something that should be relied on. Okay, I'm relying on it because I need to ;)
ha! I hope it helps a last draft if anything else. I am finally cured of those dreaded ING words -my gerund abuse is finally over. It was a good run while it lasted ;)

Take care all!
